Download Daily Notes Planner for Mac from the Mac App Store and enjoy the convenience of syncing your notes between your iPhone and MacBook!
As an alternative to the built-in iCalendar app, Daily Notes Planner offers a simpler calendar experience. It allows you to easily enter plain-text notes for each date without complicated hourly scheduling or reminders. Your notes are neatly organized by date, making it effortless to reference them later. Simply tap on a date in the calendar to access and record or review your notes. Dates with notes are conveniently highlighted in the calendar.
The search feature is user-friendly and efficient. Tapping on the search bar instantly displays your notes in chronological order, with today's note prominently shown at the top. Search terms are highlighted as you input them.
Use iCloud to seamlessly synchronize your notes across multiple devices, including your iPhone, iPad, Mac, and MacBook. All you have to do is save your notes on one device or in one app and load them on another device or in another app via the iCloud page found under "Extras".
With the not editable textview located below the calendar, you can effortlessly reference today's notes without worrying about accidentally modifying them. If you have extensive notes for the day, you can easily switch the calendar view to a weekly mode by scrolling on it.
Check out another excellent app developed by the same creator called "Close Ties - Honest Messaging". It allows users to seamlessly communicate with each other in real-time under each date in the calendar. The app also supports features such as typing indicators and read receipts.
In addition to organizing your notes by dates, Daily Notes Planner provides three additional note formats to cater to all your note-taking needs: "One Page Note", "Folder Notes", and "Weekly Schedule". This app is designed to accommodate all areas of your life.
"One Page Note" consists of a single page for quick and temporary jotting down of information.
"Folder Notes" allows you to organize your notes using folders and files, enabling easy categorization and retrieval. With search bars, you can swiftly locate specific folders and files. Additionally, you can dynamically change the text color in your notes by simply tapping on a color at the top of the keyboard and typing. The blinking cursor indicates the current color. You also have the option to rename folders and files by long-pressing on their respective rows.
"Weekly Schedule Notes" empowers you to create visually appealing and colorful charts to outline your schedule, classes, or weekly appointments. Tap on an item in the chart to input related notes. Similar to "Folder Notes", you can change text colors dynamically here too.
Take advantage of Today's widgets and iOS 14 home widgets for quick access to your notes.
You can use Siri to add notes to a specific date by stating "Add note using Daily Notes/Daily Notes 2/Daily Notes Planner app". When prompted for the name or which note to edit, you can respond with phrases like "this/last Monday/Tuesday/etc", "July 1st (year is optional)", or "next week/month". Siri is also capable of searching for notes within any time range. When asked about the time, provide your desired date range.
Here's a hidden tip: you can swipe left or right on the days from anywhere on the detail page in calendar view (you can also tap or slide the dates on the top) for quick navigation. Additionally, you can long-press "Password & Touch ID On/Off" in Settings to change your password.
The app only requires an internet connection when you press SAVE or LOAD on the iCloud page to sync data. Other than that, it operates offline. Holiday calculations within the app rely on sophisticated astronomical models and other efficient calculations.
Support for Apple's Handoff feature ensures seamless note synchronization via iCloud across your multiple devices. When you save your notes to iCloud on one device, all nearby devices will prompt you to load the latest notes from iCloud, whether on the app switcher/multitasking screen (for iOS) or in the dock (for Mac).
